About this role

Mercor is partnering with a biotech and pharma research team on expert human-evaluation work — creating and critiquing rubrics that analyze commercial drugs and drug-development programs. We're seeking an epidemiologist for a paid pilot, with the potential to continue as the work scales.

Responsibilities

  • Create and critique rubrics that analyze commercial drugs and drug-development programs
  • Size the patient population for a given drug or indication (prevalence, incidence, diagnosed → treated → addressable)
  • Judge whether a patient-population estimate is sound and well-sourced, and flag over- or under-counting
  • Apply this across the pilot's set of drugs and indications

Requirements

  • US-based epidemiologist
  • Familiarity with biotech/pharma development programs
  • Experience turning real-world data (claims, EHR, registries) into patient funnels
  • 5+ years practising epidemiology (graduate degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health)

Engagement Details

  • Duration: Approximately 10–20 hours over a 1–2 week pilot
  • Remote — US-based

Why Participate

  • Help improve expert AI evaluation of drugs and drug-development programs
  • Recurring engagement for strong contributors
