About this role

Identity & Access Management (IAM) Analyst (AI Training)

About the Role

Identity failures are at the heart of most modern enterprise breaches — and we need experts who truly understand why. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. We're looking for experienced IAM professionals to help ensure AI systems reason accurately about how identity and access risks emerge, propagate, and get exploited in the real world.

Your hands-on knowledge of identity systems will directly shape how the next generation of AI understands enterprise security.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze realistic IAM, SSO, and access control scenarios to identify weaknesses and misconfigurations
  • Classify permission issues, privilege escalation paths, and identity-related failure patterns
  • Review zero-trust architectures and access design decisions for accuracy and risk
  • Generate and validate realistic identity security data used to train and evaluate AI systems
  • Provide structured expert feedback that directly influences AI reasoning on enterprise security topics

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with IAM, SSO, or enterprise identity platforms
  • Solid understanding of RBAC, least-privilege models, and access review processes
  • Familiar with how identity failures occur in real environments and how attackers exploit them
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on task-based assignments
  • Able to communicate complex security concepts clearly in writing

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud identity platforms (Azure AD, Okta, AWS IAM, Google Workspace)
  • Background in penetration testing, red teaming, or identity-focused threat modeling
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems with top research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule
  • Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration
  • Contribute meaningful security expertise to projects that matter
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
