About the Role

We're looking for Materials Science experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI models, ensuring they think rigorously, accurately, and with true scientific depth.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working researchers, academics, and industry experts who want to put their domain knowledge to work on something genuinely frontier-level. No prior AI experience needed — your scientific expertise is what matters.

What You'll Do

• Develop, solve, and critically review advanced materials science problems with real-world scientific relevance
• Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related fields to design challenging, nuanced problem statements
• Evaluate AI-generated scientific reasoning for accuracy, rigor, and depth — and help close the gaps
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to push the boundaries of what AI can reason through
• Ensure all deliverables meet a high bar for scientific clarity, correctness, and precision

Who You Are

• Master's or PhD in Materials Science or a closely related field
• Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
• Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research applications or technical projects
• Exceptional written communication skills — you can explain complex concepts clearly and precisely
• Naturally detail-oriented with a rigorous, methodical approach to scientific problems
• Fluent in English

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
• Background in computational materials science, thin film deposition, or surface science
• Experience writing technical documentation, research papers, or scientific assessments
• Familiarity with AI tools or large language model evaluation as an end user
