About this role

Offensive Security Analyst (Structured / Non-Exploit) — AI Training

About the Role

What if your hard-won knowledge of how real attacks unfold could directly shape how AI understands cybersecurity threats? We're looking for Offensive Security Analysts to bring adversarial thinking to one of the most important challenges in AI development — teaching AI systems to reason accurately about attack paths, threat behavior, and defensive failures.

This role is about structured adversarial reasoning, not exploit development. You'll work with realistic attack scenarios, model how threats move through systems, and help generate and validate the data that trains and evaluates cutting-edge AI models. No CVE drops required — just deep, practical knowledge of how real attacks work.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Analyze attack paths, kill chains, and adversary strategies across realistic, production-style environments
  • Classify weaknesses, misconfigurations, and defensive gaps with precision and context
  • Review red-team style scenarios and intrusion narratives for accuracy and completeness
  • Generate, label, and validate adversarial reasoning data used to train and evaluate AI systems
  • Explain attack chains, potential impact, and risk tradeoffs in clear, structured language
  • Work independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in pentesting, red teaming, or a blue-team role with deep attack knowledge
  • Strong understanding of how real attacks unfold in modern, production environments
  • Able to articulate attack chains, defender blind spots, and risk propagation clearly and concisely
  • Comfortable thinking through adversarial scenarios without needing to build or execute exploits
  • Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to analysis and documentation

Nice to Have

  • Experience with threat modeling, adversary simulation, or structured attacker emulation frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, etc.)
  • Background in cloud security, network intrusion analysis, or endpoint detection
  • Familiarity with writing technical content for non-technical audiences
  • Prior exposure to AI safety, AI red-teaming, or data labeling workflows

Why Join Us

  • Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside leading AI research labs
  • Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
  • Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, task-based work
  • Apply your offensive security expertise in a novel, high-impact direction
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
