About this role

Role Title: Revenue Operations Specialist (SaaS)

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote - U.S. or Canada only

Opportunity Snapshot

Pay: $50–100/hour

Project kickoff: Already active — we’re onboarding candidates now

Location: Remote — U.S. or Canada only

You’ll need: Hands-on configuration experience in a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) plus at least two connected tools — billing, CPQ, ticketing, or project tracking

Your tasks: Work through realistic SaaS revenue operations scenarios and explain the reasoning behind your decisions

micro1 is engaging Revenue Operations Specialists to contribute to a customer’s AI training initiative. Your domain knowledge is what matters here — no prior AI experience required.

We’re looking for people who have personally owned the systems behind revenue and customer motions, whether under revenue ops, sales ops, CS ops, or implementation. The work rewards operational judgment: knowing which rule wins when two policies conflict, and what to leave alone.

Scope of Work

  1. Work through realistic revenue operations scenarios — CRM data models, process design, configuration tradeoffs — and explain the reasoning behind each choice.
  2. Resolve conflicts between operational policies: which rule takes precedence, why, and what you would deliberately leave unchanged.
  3. Design workflows that hold up under compliance constraints like approvals, access controls, and audit requirements.
  4. Diagnose revenue data problems — duplicates, broken lifecycle states, inconsistent metric definitions — and explain how you’d find the root cause and prevent recurrence.
  5. Flag ambiguous or underspecified scenarios instead of resolving them silently.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 4+ years hands-on in SaaS revenue, sales, CS, or implementation operations — not adjacent or management-only exposure.
  2. Direct CRM ownership (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) with configuration experience, plus two or more connected tools: billing, CPQ, ticketing, or project tracking.
  3. Track record of resolving policy conflicts and explaining tradeoffs, ideally in fintech, healthtech, insurtech, or complex multi-product environments.
  4. Able to explain your reasoning clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

How the selection process works

  1. Apply and complete the screening questions
  2. Complete the AI interview (30 minutes at most) — this is how we showcase your expertise to the client
  3. Profile review
  4. Onboarding — our Talent Ops team will get you set up
