micro1 is engaging experienced Senior Machinists and Construction & Field Operations Leads to contribute to a dynamic customer project focused on technical drawing comprehension and field plan execution. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. Scope of Work

1. Review and interpret advanced machining drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications to provide detailed, real-world feedback.
2. Analyze and comment on CNC setup and programming documentation, offering insights into best practices and troubleshooting common challenges.
3. Evaluate construction plan sheets, identifying potential issues, missing information, or clarity improvements based on practical field experience.
4. Interpret drilling and mine plans, drawing on industry knowledge to assess accuracy, feasibility, and regulatory considerations.
5. Conduct fire and building plan reviews, referencing applicable US codes and standards to ensure safety and compliance in recommendations.
6. Produce precise written and verbal explanations regarding technical concepts, field implementation, and drawing interpretations as part of project deliverables.
7. Contribute domain-specific expertise to ensure project outcomes are grounded in authentic, real-world practices.

Preferred Qualifications

1. 10+ years of experience as a master machinist, construction superintendent, drilling engineer, mine planner, cabinetmaker, or fire officer, with a strong track record of interpreting technical drawings and field plans.
2. Comprehensive understanding of US construction, fire, or mining codes and standards.
3. Expertise in CNC programming, machining processes, and GD&T application.
4. Demonstrated ability to analyze and explain complex field or shop scenarios in written and verbal formats.
5. Experience reviewing fire and building plans with safety and regulatory focus.
6. Comfort working independently on remote projects, delivering high-quality, detail-oriented input.
7. Strong commitment to clear, concise, and effective communication to support knowledge transfer and guidance.
