About the Role

We're looking for native Portuguese speakers with a background in language teaching or assessment to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Portuguese-language content. Your linguistic expertise and pedagogical insight will directly shape how AI understands, generates, and teaches Portuguese — making a real impact on one of the world's most widely spoken languages.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated Portuguese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels (CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+)
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert judgment
• Suggest clear, idiomatic improvements for culturally and linguistically appropriate Portuguese
• Provide structured feedback that directly improves AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts

Who You Are

• Native-level proficiency in Portuguese (Brazilian or European)
• Experience teaching Portuguese or evaluating learner language
• Fluent in English (C1/C2 level)
• Familiar with learner speech patterns and CEFR frameworks
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with language assessment, curriculum design, or standardized testing
• Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology
• Comfortable working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
• Knowledge of regional Portuguese variations across Brazilian and European dialects
