- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design advanced chemistry problems spanning domains such as chemical engineering, biochemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry
- Develop clear, rigorous, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate expert-level reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, logical coherence, and depth of reasoning
- Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to PhD-level chemistry topics
- Provide structured, detailed feedback that directly improves how AI models understand and apply chemistry
- Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Currently pursuing or have completed a PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
- Strong problem-solving skills across multiple advanced chemistry domains
- Able to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail-oriented and methodical — you hold your work to a high standard
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
- No prior AI or machine learning experience required
Nice to Have
- Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
- Background in scientific writing, academic publishing, or curriculum design
- Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation workflows
- Expertise spanning multiple sub-disciplines of chemistry or chemical engineering
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, high-impact work
- Gain rare exposure to how frontier large language models are trained and evaluated
- Contribute to AI development that shapes how science is understood and communicated at scale
