- Location: Remote
- Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design and develop advanced chemistry problems with genuine scientific depth and real-world relevance
- Apply your expertise in organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry to construct complex, well-reasoned problem statements
- Solve and review chemistry problems to ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and rigor
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and other domain experts to enhance AI model reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated scientific outputs and provide structured, expert-level feedback
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Strong expertise in at least one of: organic, inorganic, physical, or computational chemistry
- Comfortable applying advanced chemical concepts to novel, complex problem scenarios
- Naturally detail-oriented with a commitment to scientific accuracy and clarity
- Clear and effective written communicator — you can explain complex ideas precisely
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
Nice to Have
- Experience coding in Python or working with computational chemistry software (e.g., Gaussian, VASP, ORCA)
- Prior involvement in research, academic publishing, or scientific writing
- Background in data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
- Experience designing assessments, problem sets, or technical training materials
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside world-leading research labs
- Fully remote and flexible — work when and where it suits you
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of meaningful, intellectually stimulating work
- Make a direct, tangible impact on how AI understands and reasons through science
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
