micro1 is engaging Equity research Experts to contribute to a customer's project focused on advanced financial analysis, modeling, and sector insights. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Review, assess, and contribute to datasets modeling real-world equity research analysis, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  2. Analyze earnings reports, perform estimate revisions, and synthesize peer benchmarking insights for AI training purposes.
  3. Deliver detailed written evaluations of company models, including revenue, margin, cash flow, and valuation drivers.
  4. Produce high-quality, concise written research summaries and event-driven updates based on deep sector expertise.
  5. Develop and articulate investment theses, connecting qualitative and quantitative factors to actionable perspectives.
  6. Identify key industry trends, sector-specific metrics, and company catalysts relevant for fundamental analysis.
  7. Collaborate with project stakeholders to provide feedback on data quality and enhance research-related content.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Extensive experience as a sell-side Research Associate with direct ownership of company models and written research, or as a publishing/lead Research Analyst (titles may include VP or Director).
  2. Track record of independently covering multiple companies through several earnings cycles and maintaining comprehensive models.
  3. Proven ability to connect business drivers to financial outcomes and valuation.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in at least one sector (e.g., banks, insurance, biotech), with the ability to provide deep, specialist insights.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial concepts clearly.
  6. History of performing granular earnings analysis, peer benchmarking, valuation, and event-driven research updates.
  7. Experience formulating and defending investment theses and research views, with accountability for research accuracy and quality.
