About this role

Senior Healthcare Data Labeling Specialist (AI Training)

About the Role

We're looking for experienced healthcare professionals to help train and improve AI systems built on clinical and electronic health record (EHR) data. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI understands medical information — making a real difference in the quality and safety of healthcare AI.

This is a remote, flexible contract role designed for clinicians, health informaticists, and healthcare data professionals who want to apply their knowledge in a meaningful, cutting-edge context.

  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: Flexible hours, project-based

What You'll Do

  • Annotate complex clinical datasets including EHR records, clinical notes, lab results, and medical coding
  • Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews on labeled healthcare data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Apply clinical judgment to interpret ambiguous or nuanced medical information
  • Follow structured annotation guidelines and flag edge cases or data quality issues
  • Provide expert feedback that directly improves AI model performance in healthcare applications
  • Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Background in healthcare, clinical informatics, nursing, medicine, health records, or a related field
  • Familiarity with EHR systems, clinical terminology, and medical coding standards (e.g., ICD, CPT, SNOMED)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to follow complex annotation guidelines consistently across large datasets
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment
  • Clear written communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience with medical data annotation, clinical documentation, or health information management
  • Familiarity with AI/ML data labeling workflows or annotation tools
  • Credentials such as RN, MD, PA, NP, RHIA, CCS, or equivalent clinical/HIM certifications
  • Experience with natural language processing (NLP) in a healthcare context

Why Join Us

  • Work on cutting-edge AI projects at the intersection of healthcare and technology
  • Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule, from anywhere
  • Contribute to meaningful work that can improve AI-driven clinical tools and patient outcomes
  • Collaborate with a global network of healthcare and AI professionals
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension based on performance
