About this role
Role Title: Revenue Operations & CRM Systems Specialist (SaaS)
Role Type: Contractor
Location: Remote
micro1 is engaging Revenue Operations & CRM Systems Specialists (SaaS) to participate in a customer's complex systems alignment project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.
Scope of Work
- Analyze CRM, billing, and ticketing data to identify areas where operational logic and policies are out of alignment.
- Surface and document instances of policy conflicts, outdated automations, duplicate entities, permissions mismatches, and ambiguous or undocumented processes.
- Draft precise operational prompts and recommendations that outline the correct handling of complex or ambiguous scenarios within the SaaS revenue stack.
- Evaluate and articulate the desired state of underlying data, correcting discrepancies and ensuring logical consistency across systems.
- Record your reasoning, including rationale for changes made and areas intentionally left untouched, to support transparent operational decision-making.
- Apply critical judgment and operational expertise when faced with conflicting rules or cascading changes that impact multiple systems.
- Deliver thorough written documentation that can serve as reference for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in revenue operations, sales operations, customer success operations, or SaaS implementation and onboarding with direct system ownership.
- Demonstrated ability to personally configure CRM systems (fields, workflows, validation rules, permissions) rather than delegating these changes to others.
- Experience working with at least two adjacent SaaS revenue tools such as billing/subscription management, CPQ/quoting, ticketing/support, project tracking, or automation/integration platforms.
- Background in SaaS environments, especially in fintech, healthtech, insurtech, or companies with complex, multi-product implementations.
- Proven ability to assess and manage changes that cascade across interconnected systems, ensuring comprehensive operational integrity.
- Comfort navigating and documenting grey areas and exceptions in written policy, particularly around renewals and entitlement changes.
- Professional English proficiency, with strong skills in articulating nuanced reasoning and operational trade-offs in both written and verbal communication.
