APM Programs in 2026: All 25 Deadlines (Miss September, Wait a Year)

Salesforce's APM application closes this week. Meta RPM opens next week. Google's window ran September 30 to October 28 last cycle, four weeks, and this fall should look the same. Reddit's 2026 window lasted eight days in late June. It is already gone.

That is the defining fact about APM programs: the jobs are excellent and the doors barely open. APM programs are rotational entry-level product manager roles at companies like Google, Meta, Uber, and Salesforce. You get 18 months to two years, two or three rotations across product teams, executive mentorship, and a full-time PM offer at the end. Product management has no natural entry point, and these programs are the closest thing to one. So everyone wants in. Reported acceptance rates at the top programs sit below 1 percent, and nearly every program opens exactly once a year, between mid-August and Halloween.

This page is the full 2026-27 season: 25 programs with their application windows, dated wherever a date can be verified, plus what each loop tests, what the jobs pay, and a six-week prep plan that fits between today and Google's likely open date. Windows come from program pages and public trackers as of August 13, 2026. Companies move dates without notice, so confirm on the careers page before you plan around one.

If you take one action today, make it this: pick your three target programs and put their windows in your calendar. A weak answer can be coached. A missed deadline costs you a year.

What an APM program actually is

APM stands for associate product manager. An APM program is a structured cohort: the company hires a class of new grads once a year, runs them through a bootcamp, rotates them across two or three product teams, and pairs them with senior PM mentors. Google invented the model in 2002. Meta, Uber, Salesforce, LinkedIn, and a few dozen others copied it.

The trade is simple. The company gets high-slope generalists before the market prices them correctly. You get the one thing an entry-level candidate cannot buy: real PM scope, with a safety net, at a company whose name reorders your career. Program alumni run products, companies, and venture funds, which is exactly why each class is small and the filter is severe.

Eligibility is the catch most people miss. These are new-grad programs. Google wants graduating students or people within about a year of graduation. Meta caps direct PM experience at under one year. If you have three years of experience, most flagship programs are already closed to you, and standard PM roles are the better play.

The 2026-27 calendar: all 25 windows

APM programs 2026 application timeline: August to October windows for Google APM, Meta RPM, Uber, Salesforce, and 21 more
Almost every window opens between mid-August and Halloween.

Dates marked "tracked" are estimates from public trackers like apmlist.org and can shift by a few days.

  • Salesforce APM (San Francisco): open, tracked to close around August 17. Days left.
  • Databricks APM (San Francisco and two other hubs): open now, new-grad associate product manager.
  • Amazon PM, new grad (Seattle): open now. Not a branded APM cohort, a straight PM pipeline.
  • Scale AI, AI Product Manager (San Francisco): open now.

Opening mid-to-late August

  • Meta RPM (Menlo Park, Seattle, New York): tracked to open around August 18.
  • TikTok PM, new grad (San Jose): role-specific listings tracked around August 18.
  • Coinbase APM (US remote): tracked to open around August 20.

September windows

  • U.S. Bank PM rotational program (Minneapolis): tracked around September 2.
  • LinkedIn Associate Product Builder (Mountain View): tracked around September 3.

  • Visa APM: applications historically run August to September, offers by winter.
  • IBM APM: historically opens late August to September.
  • Intuit APM: last cycle opened in September.

Late September and October: the Google weeks

  • Google APM (US hubs): last cycle opened September 30 and closed October 28. Expect the same weeks. London and India run separate November-to-January windows.
  • Capital One APM, Atlassian APM, Duolingo APM, Roblox APM, Lyft APM, Yahoo APM: all listed as not yet open, and all ran fall windows in recent cycles.

Already closed for this cycle

  • Reddit PM: June 29 to July 6. Eight days, once a year.
  • Stripe PM, new grad: March 21 to April 27.
  • Instacart APM: March window, next expected March 2027. Worth a calendar entry now: it is an 18-month program that explicitly recruits career switchers.

Beyond these 25, trackers list early-career PM roles at Adobe, DoorDash, Notion, Cloudflare, PayPal, and Walmart with fall openings and no dates yet. Check them monthly if one fits you.

The Google APM program, in detail

The Google APM program is the original and still the one every other program measures itself against. Marissa Mayer created it in 2002. The first APM, Brian Rakowski, rose to VP of Product. Alumni include Bret Taylor, who co-created Google Maps and went on to become Salesforce co-CEO and OpenAI's board chair, and Optimizely founder Dan Siroker. When people say APM programs compound, this is the compounding they mean.

The structure: two years, two rotations of roughly 12 months each on different products, a few dozen hires per class, with start dates staggered from April to August. There is also a separate 12-week summer APM internship for students a year out from graduating, which feeds the full-time class.

Eligibility is stricter than most programs: a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, data science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Google reads "equivalent practical experience" narrowly. If you built and shipped real software without the degree, you have a case. If you took two coding classes, you do not.

The window is the trap. Last cycle it ran September 30 to October 28: four weeks, once a year, for a program people spend years aiming at. Assume the same weeks this fall and be ready before it opens, because the loop moves fast once it starts.

The loop: a resume screen, a 30-minute recruiter call, then about five 45-minute interviews covering product sense, analytical and execution thinking, technical understanding, and behavioral questions under the Googleyness banner. Some cycles add a written product exercise. Expect questions like "design a product for museum visitors," "search queries from tablets dropped 15 percent overnight, walk me through it," and "pick a Google product and tell me what you would change."

The pay, self-reported as of mid-2026: about $143K base, roughly $23K a year in stock, and a bonus near $32K, for a median total around $198K. Reported totals range from $150K to over $206K. That is senior-engineer money for a first product job.

Meta RPM: the no-referrals program

Meta's Rotational Product Manager program is 18 months: a four-week bootcamp, then three rotations of about six months across product teams in Menlo Park, Seattle, or New York. Recent cohorts started in March and September, and the program converts graduates into full-time Meta PMs.

Two things make RPM different. First, eligibility is broad: under one year of direct PM experience, no CS degree required, and career changers are explicitly welcome. Second, referrals do not exist for it. Your resume and a set of short written answers decide whether you advance, which makes RPM the rare elite program where the screen is the same for everyone.

The loop after the screen: a 20-minute recruiter call, a 45-minute product-sense interview, a 45-minute execution interview, then a final round of back-to-back interviews. Self-reported pay lands near $133K base and $172K total.

The window is tracked to open around August 18. If RPM is on your list, your written answers should be drafted this week, not the night the application opens.

The rest of the field

Uber APM. Two years, opening with a two-week bootcamp, then rotations across Rides, Eats, Freight, and Uber for Business. Uber's PM culture is operations-heavy, so expect metrics and execution questions to carry more weight than dreamy product design. Last cycle closed September 26 at 5 p.m. PT.

Salesforce APM. Two years in San Francisco, or a 12-week internship. This is enterprise product work: B2B workflows, platform thinking, admin personas, not consumer polish. The current window is tracked to close around August 17, so this one is now or next year.

LinkedIn Associate Product Builder. LinkedIn folded its APM brand into a new Associate Product Builder program, and the rename is the message: they want evidence you build and ship, not just analyze. Historically two years with two rotations. Tracked to open around September 3.

Databricks APM. Open now. Enterprise data and AI platform work where technical comfort matters more than at any consumer program on this list. If you can talk credibly about how a query engine or a model pipeline works, you stand out here.

Coinbase APM. Rotational, US remote, tracked to open around August 20. Crypto conviction gets tested early, so know the products and the space before the recruiter call, not after.

Capital One APM. Two years, two rotations, one of the largest APM classes anywhere, and the most common first PM job for non-CS grads. Recent windows opened late summer to fall.

Visa APM. Two years with four six-month rotations, the most rotation variety on this list. Applications historically run August to September with offers by winter.

Intuit APM. Two years and three rotations across TurboTax, QuickBooks, and Credit Karma surfaces. Last cycle opened in September.

Atlassian APM. Two years, two rotations, open to all majors, with windows that vary by region. Distributed-first, so remote candidates get a real shot.

Duolingo APM. Consumer product craft and A/B discipline in Pittsburgh. Fall cadence, not yet open.

Roblox APM. Product work on a platform whose users are also its builders. Fall cadence, not yet open.

Lyft APM. Reported as 18 months with three rotations. Fall cadence, not yet open.

Figma, Spotify, TikTok. Early-career PM roles rather than branded cohorts, tracked to open September 10, September 6, and August 18 respectively. Same interviews, same pay band, less marketing.

Yahoo APM. One of the oldest APM brands, running cohorts since the mid-2000s. Fall cadence.

IBM APM. About a year, historically opening late August to September. Less selective than big tech, and a real path into enterprise product.

Amazon. No branded APM program. Amazon hires new-grad PMs directly, and a Seattle PM listing is open now. The behavioral loop runs entirely on Amazon's 16 Leadership Principles, which reward a different prep style than product-sense interviews.

The three you missed. Reddit ran June 29 to July 6. Stripe's new-grad PM window ran March 21 to April 27. Instacart's APM opens in March. Calendar all three for next cycle today, because none of them will wait for you to remember.

What every APM loop tests

Strip the branding and every program asks three kinds of questions.

Product sense. Design a product for X. Improve product Y. What is your favorite product and what would you change? Strong answers run user, problem, solutions, tradeoffs, metrics, in that order, out loud, in under ten minutes. Weak answers list features.

Analytical and execution. A metric dropped, diagnose it. Estimate a market. Prioritize these five things with one engineer. Interviewers want a hypothesis tree and a decision, not a framework recital.

Behavioral. A story bank of 8 to 10 real episodes with numbers in the results, covering initiative, conflict, failure, and shipping. At Amazon this maps to Leadership Principles. At Google it is Googleyness. Same muscle everywhere.

Frameworks are free and everyone has them. The differentiator is reps out loud against an interviewer who pushes back. Skillora's AI product manager mock interview runs exactly these rounds: product sense, execution, and behavioral, with adaptive follow-ups on your actual answers and a scored report at the end.

Six weeks to the Google window

Today is August 13. Google should open around September 30. Here is the plan that fits.

Weeks 1 and 2, now through late August. Pick three target programs and calendar every window on this page. Apply to what is already open: Salesforce and Databricks first. Draft your Meta RPM written answers before August 18. Rebuild your resume around shipped outcomes with numbers, because "built a course project" loses to "shipped a tool 400 students used" every time. If you are still on campus, career fairs are about to start, so bring questions that actually work.

Weeks 3 and 4, early September. One product-sense question and one metrics question per day, answered out loud, timed. Build the behavioral story bank: 8 to 10 episodes, quantified. Submit Uber, LinkedIn, and every September window as each one opens. Do not save applications for the deadline; some programs review on a rolling basis.

Weeks 5 and 6, mid-to-late September. Full mock loops, minimum three, under interview conditions. This is where Skillora's AI mock interviewer earns its place: it runs the full round, probes your answers the way a real interviewer does, and scores you against what each question type rewards. Walk into the Google window with 30 answered questions behind you and the first real one will feel like a rerun.

One more number to keep you honest: at sub-1-percent acceptance rates, a serious candidate applies to 10 or more programs, not 3. The windows are staggered from this week to Halloween. Treat the season like a campaign, and start with the two doors that are open right now.
