micro1 is engaging Corporate Lawyers (US based) to contribute their legal expertise to a customer's project focused on commercial, contract, corporate, M&A, and general counsel matters. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Evaluate and analyze a wide range of corporate, commercial, and M&A documents for accuracy, enforceability, and compliance with US law.
  2. Draft, review, and provide feedback on contracts, policies, and agreements reflecting best practices in corporate law.
  3. Translate complex legal concepts into clear, accessible explanations for use in AI system development.
  4. Identify and summarize key legal issues, trends, and risk areas in business transactions and contract negotiations.
  5. Contribute real-world legal scenarios, case studies, and document samples to enhance AI training datasets.
  6. Collaborate asynchronously with project stakeholders to clarify deliverables and address questions related to corporate law topics.
  7. Deliver precise written and verbal insights, ensuring nuanced understanding of legal language and its practical applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited US law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate, business, or transactional law, including exposure to M&A, contracts, and risk management.
  3. Demonstrated experience as outside counsel, in-house corporate counsel, or as a legal consultant to business clients.
  4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex legal issues for diverse audiences.
  5. Familiarity with the US legal landscape, including commercial and regulatory compliance requirements.
  6. Proficiency in reviewing and drafting a variety of corporate and commercial agreements.
  7. Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to contribute to innovative technology-driven projects.

Compensation Structure:

Compensation is task-based, meaning experts are paid per completed task that meets the project specifications. The average handling time (AHT) is approximately 3.5 hours per task, and the effective hourly rate will depend on the number of tasks completed and successfully signed off.
