micro1 is engaging M&A Corporate & Securities Attorneys to participate in a project focused on advancing AI legal reasoning capabilities. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Review and evaluate realistic M&A transaction scenarios and due diligence materials to inform AI-assisted legal tools development.
  2. Apply expert judgment to corporate, governance, and securities matters, identifying material issues and distinguishing significant risks.
  3. Produce clear, structured written feedback to support the enhancement of AI systems’ reasoning and analytical abilities.
  4. Assess the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated outputs to ensure alignment with market and practice standards.
  5. Identify and explain cross-document inconsistencies within corporate records, charters, board consents, and financing documents.
  6. Serve as a subject matter expert, providing nuanced guidance on M&A deal processes and risk assessment.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 5+ years’ experience in M&A, corporate, or venture/securities matters at a law firm, corporate development team, or investment fund.
  2. Demonstrated expertise working within virtual data rooms (such as Datasite, Intralinks, or Ansarada) on live deals.
  3. Substantial familiarity with corporate governance documents and the ability to spot and explain ambiguous or inconsistent provisions.
  4. JD and active bar membership (or equivalent legal qualification in your jurisdiction).
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in articulating complex legal reasoning.
  6. Experience with AmLaw 100 firms, top-tier venture/technology practices, or leading PE/corp dev teams is highly valued.
  7. Prior exposure to AI-assisted legal review tools (a plus, not required).
