Cybersecurity Analyst | 3+ Years of Experience | Remote | Contract Walker Healthforce is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst with 3+ years of experience to support a healthcare organization. This is a 6 month contract opportunity. START DATE: ASAP HOURS/SCHEDULE: 40 hours WORKER TYPE: W2 CORE REQUIREMENTS: • 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Security Operations, Vulnerability Management, or related disciplines • Experience supporting Vulnerability Management programs, threat response activities, CIS Benchmark assessments, asset inventory management, and security compliance initiatives • Knowledge of Security Operations (SecOps), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), security controls, remediation processes, and change management procedures • Familiarity with CIS Controls, vulnerability scanning tools, security monitoring platforms, and IT infrastructure environments • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Experience working cross-functionally with Security Operations, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Technology teams • Ability to document audit findings, remediation plans, and security recommendations • Experience submitting and managing change requests through established change management processes • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical remediation activities to non-technical stakeholders WE CONSIDER IT A BONUS IF YOU ALSO HAVE: • Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GSEC, CEH, or similar • Experience with Application Security (AppSec) concepts and secure coding practices • Experience conducting CIS Benchmark audits and compliance assessments • Familiarity with enterprise asset management platforms and CMDB tools • Experience supporting healthcare, regulated, or highly secure environments JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Partner with internal and client-side stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities across the environment • Support threat response activities by coordinating with Security Operations and Engineering teams to contain and resolve active security issues • Track remediation progress and ensure timely closure of open vulnerabilities and findings • Assist in conducting CIS (Center for Internet Security) Benchmark assessments across subsidiaries and business units • Document audit findings, identify gaps against benchmark standards, and support remediation planning efforts • Review Web Application Firewall (WAF) configurations and coverage across applicable systems • Identify WAF gaps, misconfigurations, and rule enhancement opportunities; escalate recommendations to appropriate stakeholders • Support maintenance and accuracy of the enterprise asset inventory • Collaborate with infrastructure and technology teams to ensure hardware and software assets are properly cataloged and classified • Guide stakeholders through technical remediation activities, including firewall rule modifications and security control updates • Submit, track, and manage change tickets in accordance with organizational change management processes • Serve as a liaison between Security, Infrastructure, and Technology teams to ensure remediation activities are executed accurately and on schedule • Support day-to-day Security Operations monitoring and cybersecurity activities • Assist with vulnerability identification, risk prioritization, and remediation efforts • Maintain visibility into enterprise hardware and software assets • Support application security, security compliance initiatives, audits, and remediation activities related to CIS controls and security best practices WHAT WE OFFER: • Competitive compensation package • Weekly pay via Direct Deposit • Medical, Dental & Vision available • 401k options WHY WORK WITH WALKER? • Access to our top ranked team of recruiting and placement specialists • Continuous, one-on-one support from a dedicated engagement manager • Professional resume development and interview preparation Contact our Recruiting Team today to experience the Walker Healthforce difference!
