About this role

Role Title: Product & Engineering Expert — PowerPoint Review & Reconstruction

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

micro1 is engaging Product & Engineering Experts to support a project focused on improving the quality and clarity of executive-level business presentations. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Receive and analyze images of product and engineering business slides, such as roadmaps, architectural overviews, and program updates.
  2. Accurately reconstruct these slides in Microsoft PowerPoint, preserving factual accuracy, domain definitions, and critical caveats.
  3. Enhance slide clarity, data visualization, and message hierarchy using strong visual storytelling principles and evidence-based titles.
  4. Edit and improve slide content, layout, and supporting visuals while maintaining fidelity to the original intent and context.
  5. Document a detailed log for each slide, clearly justifying all improvements as well as any changes deliberately rejected, emphasizing sound judgment in both cases.
  6. Deliver feedback in plain language for audiences ranging from engineering leads to senior executives.
  7. Participate in project-based sprints, with each assignment typically requiring 1–2 hours to complete and offering adaptable timing.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 3+ years in product management, engineering leadership, or technical program management roles, with deep familiarity in product and engineering contexts.
  2. Demonstrated experience building executive-level PowerPoint presentations for senior stakeholders or client audiences.
  3. Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, including content editing, data visualization, and design best practices.
  4. Strong critical thinking and attention to detail, especially in defending well-chosen design and content approaches as well as improvement decisions.
  5. Exceptional written communication skills, able to explain message hierarchy, evidence-supported title choices, and visual selections clearly.
  6. Industry practitioners and consultants with domain expertise are strongly encouraged; a consulting-firm pedigree is not required.
  7. Prior experience with AI model training, evaluation, or rubric-writing is a plus, but not required.
