About this role

Role Title: Research & Insights Expert - PowerPoint Review & Reconstruction

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

micro1 is engaging Research & Insights Experts to contribute to a customer’s project focused on elevating executive-level business presentations. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Receive images of research and insights slides (e.g., research readouts, survey results, segmentation analyses, competitive landscapes) and reconstruct them in Microsoft PowerPoint with enhanced clarity and visual impact.
  2. Apply advanced presentation design, data visualization, and content editing skills to improve slide quality while preserving research accuracy and intent.
  3. Write a comprehensive log for each assignment, detailing all changes made and justifying decisions to retain or reject specific elements, emphasizing both improvement and preservation of sound choices.
  4. Ensure factual accuracy and maintain domain-specific definitions, caveats, and research context throughout each slide reconstruction.
  5. Demonstrate and articulate effective visual storytelling, message hierarchy, supported titles, and exhibit selection in executive presentations.
  6. Participate in task-based, sprint-driven production cycles with flexible timing; each slide engagement is expected to require 1–2 hours.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 3+ years of experience in market research, consumer insights, analytics, or related quantitative research disciplines.
  2. Proven expertise in building or refining executive or client-facing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  3. Strong proficiency in data visualization, slide reconstruction, and presentation design principles tailored for research communication.
  4. Exceptional critical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written communication skills.
  5. Ability to defend methodological choices and explain the rationale behind design and messaging decisions.
  6. Background as an industry practitioner or consultant in research and insights, with domain expertise prioritized over consulting-firm pedigree.
  7. Experience in AI training, evaluation, or rubric development is a plus, but not required.
