Overview We're hiring experienced Pediatric Inpatient Nurses (RNs) to help train and evaluate AI systems used in clinical and healthcare settings. This role is ideal for nurses who…
These remote nursing jobs pay registered nurses and nurse practitioners to judge what an AI wrote about patient care. You read a model’s nursing notes, care plans or discharge summaries and mark what is wrong, missing or unsafe. Some projects have you annotate real inpatient documentation so a model learns what good charting looks like. There are no patients, no phone queues and no shifts.
Bedside experience is what they pay for. micro1’s registered nurse roles want recent inpatient bedside experience and the ability to practise as an RN in the US. Mercor’s pediatric roles want recent pediatric acute care on an inpatient unit and an active US RN license, outside California. Its nurse practitioner project wants four or more years of NP practice. None asks for AI experience.
AI training is a small slice of remote nursing. This page lists a handful of roles at any one time, against thousands of triage, utilization review and case management openings on the job boards. Those routes close the page, and the guide to remote jobs for nurses covers the state licensing rules that decide which of them you can take.
Published hourly rates for each section below, computed from the open listings. A wide range is the band a project pays within, so plan on its lower end until you have a track record.
| Role | Open listings | Published hourly rate |
|---|---|---|
| RN | 5 | $35 to $120 |
| Clinical data | 4 | $30 to $50 |
Remote RN jobs in AI training are documentation work. micro1’s registered nurses annotate and review inpatient nursing notes, progress notes, care plans, orders and discharge summaries, and check AI output against the standard of care. Mercor’s pediatric nurses review AI outputs built from nursing flowsheets and structure pediatric assessment data for training.
Mercor’s Nursing Talent Network is a standing pool rather than an open project: you pass one AI interview and are matched when a lab needs nurses, with typical commitments of 15 to 30 hours a week. Alignerr’s nursing informatics role wants an RN who has worked with EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner, and names no country restriction.

Mercor’s nurse practitioner project pays NPs to evaluate AI-written clinical assessments, treatment plans and patient education, and to compare two AI answers on clinical reasoning and guideline adherence. It asks for four or more years as an NP or APRN, active RN licensure, and 20 or more hours a week for about four to six weeks. Pay is per task until your first task is approved, then hourly.
The surveys in the list above are short paid studies for clinicians in outpatient and community care, open to NPs, PAs and RNs. They publish no hourly rate.
No nurse practitioner listings are open right now. The feed refreshes daily, so check back, or search the whole category below.
Clinical data jobs ask for a healthcare background rather than a current license. Alignerr’s EHR annotation specialists label diagnoses, procedures, medications and clinical notes in patient records, and the listing names nursing, medical coding and clinical informatics as backgrounds that fit. Its senior healthcare data labeling role lists RN among the credentials it accepts.
Clinical data QA reviewers check charts and structured EHR data for errors and label what they find to a written guideline. Most of these roles name no country restriction and run asynchronously, so they suit nurses outside the US or away from the bedside.

Expect contract work, not employment. You are an independent contractor paid by the hour or by the task, with no benefits, and a project ends when the lab has the data it needs. Hours are flexible on most listings, though some Mercor projects ask for 20 or more a week.
Every marketplace screens before it pays. Mercor and micro1 run an AI interview about your clinical background and review your credentials, and Alignerr adds short qualification tasks graded against the project guideline. The work rewards the same precision as a clean shift note.
Check your employer’s policy on outside work before you start, since some health systems restrict it.
Six marketplaces publish this work openly. Every listing above links to the one that posted it, and each has its own page here covering pay, screening and who gets hired.
Yes. Every listing here links to the marketplace that posted it, and none charges you to apply. Outside AI training, telehealth triage, utilization review and case management are the largest groups of legit remote RN work. Be wary of any offer that asks you to pay for a course before an interview.
Each card shows the listing’s published hourly range, and the pay table on this page sums them up by role. Nurse practitioner and specialty projects tend to publish higher ranges than general RN review. Plan on the lower end of a range until you have a track record on the marketplace.
For most RN and NP roles here, yes. The badge on each card shows where the listing’s own text asks for a US license. Alignerr’s clinical data roles ask for a healthcare background instead and mostly name no country. The guide to remote jobs for nurses covers which states your license reaches.
Rarely. The RN listings ask for recent bedside experience, and the NP listing asks for four or more years of practice. New grads have better odds with clinical data annotation, which asks for a healthcare background rather than years at the bedside.
No. They are part-time contracts, mostly flexible, and some are talent pools that pay only when a project opens. For a full-time remote RN job with benefits, look at utilization review and case management at insurers, covered at the end of this page.
No. AI training work is reviewing and writing clinical documentation, with no patients and no calls. Telehealth triage is different: it is patient care by phone or video and needs a license in each patient’s state.
AI training is a small slice of remote nursing. These routes have the most openings, and each needs the right state license.
Every marketplace above screens with an interview or assessment in your own domain before assigning paid work. Run that interview with Skillora first and get feedback on how you explained your reasoning, not just on what you said.
